Best Time to Visit at Chaibasa

You can decide your time to arrive at Chaibasa according to its climate conditions. The summer season remains very hot and thus, you can avoid the months of April and June. After the summer season, the rainfall comes to the city and embarking on to its tourist attractions while raining around would be difficult for you. Rungta Garden

Rungta Garden is one of the most visited picnic spots in the city of Chaibasa. Shahid Park

Jhinkpani is a village which is nestled around 16 km to the south of Chaibasa. You can reach at this village via Chaibasa or by arriving at Jhinkpani Railway Station.


Bidri is also a village, which is located in Manjhari Block. This village has a small lake with a hill lock to the east. Jagannathpur village is located around 45 km south-west of Chaibasa. A number of devotees come to this village to worship at an old temple of Lord Shiva. This village has derived its name from its creator - Raja Jagannath Singh of Porahat.


Lupungutu is also counted among the top tourist attractions of Chaibasa, which has been explored by many holiday seekers. It is a small village located only two kilometers west of Chaibasa. This travel attraction boasts of a continuing natural spring, which has been a favorite picnic spot for the tourists.


During your excursion to Chaibasa, you should travel towards nearby located Kotgarh Village. It has a great historical legacy dominated by powerful Indian rulers who ruled Chakradharpur, Jagannathpuri, Manjhari and Manjhgaon. There is also a fortress at Kotgarh, which was built by Narpat Singh.
